New Happenings at HathiTrust – August Update

New happenings at HathiTrust:

  • The University of Michigan received a third grant award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) of 489K for copyright determinations work in their Copyright Review Management System (CRMS). The grant will fund the development of a toolkit to be used by libraries worldwide and to sustain the copyright determination process for HathiTrust. CDL and the University of California Libraries continue to participate in the CRMS program.
  • The 2014 HathiTrust Member Meeting will take place on October 10th in Washington DC. It is the first all-member meeting since the Constitutional Convention in 2011 and all member representatives (or their designate) are encouraged to attend.
  • 6,317 new volumes from the University of California Libraries were added to the HathiTrust Repository in August, for a total of 3,574,1264 volumes.
