Melvyl Central Index Update

melvyl_logoIt’s February 2015, and time for the biannual addition of new databases released by OCLC to Melvyl’s Central Index.

Currently, CDL adds databases to the all instances of the Melvyl Central Index for resources managed by CDL and licensed by all ten campuses. Resources managed by CDL and licensed by all campuses or licensed by all campuses except UCSF, will be added to the Melvyl Central Index.

New databases

The analysis of potential changes to the Melvyl Central Index configuration has been completed.  The following databases have been added to Melvyl’s Central Index:

  • Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639 – 1800 Supplement
  • Early American Imprints, Series II: Shaw – Shoemaker, 1801 – 1819 Supplement
  • Hearings Digital Collection 1824-2003 Supplement
  • Informa Healthcare e-Journals
  • JSTOR Current Scholarship Journals
  • JSTOR Jewish Studies
  • ProQuest Los Angeles Times
  • ProQuest New York Times
  • ProQuest The Wall Street Journal
  • SpringerLink

The following databases licensed by all campuses except UCSF have also been added to Melvyl, except to UCSF’s version (http://ucsf.worldcat.org):

  • American National Biography Online
  • Gerritsen Collection of Women’s History, 1543-1945
  • JapanKnowledge Lib
  • JSTOR Arts &Sciences XIII
  • Naxos Music Library
  • Naxos Music Library Jazz
