New Licensed Resource – Bijutsu Shinpō

All campuses have access to the historical journal Bijutsu Shinpō [Art News journal] which was originally published in Tokyo between 1902 and 1920 in 300 issues in over 7,300 pages. The articles and news published in the journal cover a wide range of subjects including painting, sculpture, architecture, calligraphy, photography, etc. of both the East and the West.

A print of Rodin’s The Thinker appeared with an introduction in the Meiji 42 (1909) January edition (Vol. 7, No. 20).
