UC3 is offering a webinar on the new EZID (easy-eye-dee) service on October 26th at 3:30 pm (PT). EZID makes it simple for researchers and others to obtain and manage long-term identifiers for their digital content. The service can create and resolve identifiers, and it also allows entry and maintenance of information about the identifier (metadata). More information about EZID is available on our website.

The EZID webinar will be held on Tuesday October 26 from 3:30 to 4:30pm (PT) and will cover:

An overview of EZID’s functions and a tour of the user interface
How to get started using EZID
What kind of metadata do you need to supply
How to practice using EZID and where to get help

UC3 Merritt webinar 10/20 1-2pm PT

UC3 has recently released the new Merritt repository service. This new repository is the successor to the Digital Preservation Repository (DPR), and provides a cost-effective way for the UC3 community to manage, archive and share its digital content. Merritt provides the same long-term preservation as the DPR, with additional flexibility and functionality. You can find more information about Merritt on our website at http://merritt.cdlib.org/

We are offering a webinar on Merritt on Wednesday October 20 from 1-2pm (PT), discussing the ideas underlying its architecture and design, and demonstrating the user interface and features.
