Title
Web Archiving Service Manager
Responsibilities
Tracy manages the Web Archiving Service at CDL and works closely with both content experts and software developers to insure that librarians, archivists, and researchers have the tools to effectively capture, preserve, and provide ongoing access to web publications. She provides consultation and support for users of CDL's Web Archiving Service (WAS) and contributes to ongoing WAS innovation and design. She works both with UC campuses and external partners to promote and extend the field of web archiving, and engages in collaborative efforts to save at-risk web publications for future researchers.

Background
Tracy comes to web archiving by way of over a decade of experience working in libraries. She spent several years providing reference and instruction service and teaching continuing education and graduate courses in library studies. She was a member of UC Berkeley's first web design team, and contributed to the design and development of several digital library applications, including a rights management system for electronic reserves, a learning content management system for online workshops, library subject guides, and digital collections in art and architecture.
