The UC Art Bibliographer group, after comparing and evaluating the features available in RLG's Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals database and CSA's version of this same database, recommended a transition to the CSA platform in 2006, due to port limits on the RLG version, additional features available via the CSA platform, etc.
The CDL negotiated the necessary financial terms in order to make the transition to the new platform possible. There will be an overlap period beginning immediately and continuing through June 2006. As of July 1, 2006, CSA's Illumina will be the sole source for UC's subscription to the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals database.
Access to the CSA version of the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals database is currently available at: http://www.cdlib.org/inside/resources/choosecampus/avery_csa.html
