Beginning with EndNote 7, it is possible to save re-executable OpenURLs (UC-eLinks) with the citations you save into your EndNote libraries. This will provide all the UC-eLinks services, including full text access (when available), the ability to check local holdings, etc., from your saved citations.
This feature will work with Internet Explorer or Mozilla as the default web browser on Windows machines (PCs). It will work with Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Netscape on OS X (Macs).
Set-up:
?sid=ISI:EndNote&aufirst=AUFIRST&aulast=AULAST&issn=ISSN&isbn=ISBN&atitle=ATITLE
&title=TITLE&volume=VOLUME&issue=ISSUE&date=DATE&spage=SPAGE&epage=EPAGE
Note: The only difference from the default setting is that the "?sid=ISI:WoS" argument is changed to "?sid=ISI:EndNote". Be sure to copy this as one continuous line of text.
To use UC-eLinks:
Note: Some databases, like Ovid's BIOSIS Previews database, insert extra information such as the place of publication in the journal name in parentheses. You must edit this out in your citation view to allow UC-eLinks to locate the full text. For example, change "Plant Physiology (Rockville, MD)" to just "Plant Physiology".
