This thing is great!
key databases for SIO are not returning results , specifically ASFA, Zoological Record and AAR
many db's timed out, looks like most searches used OR -- utterly useless!
kathryn gustafson, too rare subject.
Session timed out before I could see any of the retrieved results
Goto and more info do not function on my system

I want to know which library has the TESOL Quarterly, Vol 9, No.1, March 1975. I can't get that information.
I got better results from aol!
could not get to full text for most articles
i love the idea behind searchlight, but it got "stuck" at 59 seconds. It timed out of all the useful databases. It has been getting "stuck" on 59 seconds for some time now.
this is hurribly designed interface.

enabling Java requires specific knowlege of the exact trusted site. Indiscriminate enabling of Java is a very poor security practice. You should provide the exact site name to use for the trusted site

Aggregate journal vendors returned zero results on my search for "grey whales". I find it hard to believe that no journal articles contain these terms.
tho breif exper, seem little use to me.

3 times I tried to make it take 2 or 5 minutes; each time it took only 1 minute. Several dbs said "timeout" with no response. Why won't it take my time limit?
not seeing key databases in research area, will run modified search after submitting these comments

as a librarian, and one of the Database Advisor interface team, I am very interested in Searchlight features and useability. Especially as compared to DBA at UCSD.
maybe i'll try.
Only if I can figure out how it works
I don't like It

What additional features or content would make Searchlight useful?

Sorting of results would be nice. Maybe I can do this now?
Searchlight "light" that does NOT search ejournals and the web. Books (catalogs) are fine, but the journal article databases are where my patrons really need to get citations. Aren't ejournal searches redundant? Use the entire screen width, and get rid of the forced grey area (fleru-de-lis) around the content areas (i.e. more real estate equals less scrolling).
(somehow) get more periodical indices? it's a "pain" to search thru the bound indices
I was unable to access any of the listed results from the results page. I don't know if the network was down or just very, very slow... but there was no way to tell whether the computer was even working on it. I just sat here for several minutes with no activity and then gave up. You should have some sort of message for the user-- like "trying to connect" or "unable to access" or any of the usual user-feedbacks on Netscape or Microsoft Explorer, etc.
Better instructions on how to configure trusted sites. Indiscrimiate enabling of scripts is a dumb practice which sophisticated users will not do.
I want to know which library at UCLA has the journal I am looking for. I know the Journal, the date, the article, etc. I just don't know the library.
Let one know if there is full text available
This is an interface so hard to use.
more advanced search software
