SFX Prototype Test

SFX provides users with links from a particular search result to various services. It will replace the current CDL linking technology. Initially, the CDL's SFX server will offer three services:

1. Links to campus holdings.
2. Links to Request (online interlibrary loan).
3. Links to full text.

Note: We recommend that you keep a log of your clicks as you are going through this exercise so that if you encounter a problem, you will be able to describe your steps in detail.

Request service: The campus interlibrary loan staff are aware of this test and will ignore any orders you send through this test.

Prototype testing timeline:

• October 15–December 14, 2001
• Additional PubMed testing February 27 through March 12, 2002
