Access & Publishing

The Access & Publishing Group, comprised of the Publishing and Digital Special Collections (DSC) teams, develops and maintains production services that enable robust access to the unique digital assets of the University of California and beyond. The Publishing team provides the University of California scholarly community with innovative digital publication and distribution opportunities through the development of advanced technologies and creative partnerships. The DSC team supports collaboration between libraries, archives, and museums throughout the State of California to provide access to a world class digital collection that serves an array of end users, from researchers and scholars to students and the general public.

Products and Services
eScholarship: A suite of open access scholarly publishing services and research tools that enable UC departments, research units, publishing programs, and individual scholars to have direct control over the creation and dissemination of their scholarship.
eScholarship PLUS: An extension of eScholarship that enables departments, research centers, and publishing programs within UC to extend the capacity and reach of their journal/book publishing programs with print-on-demand, distribution, and marketing services.
UC Open Access Policy Tools: A set of tools and resources developed by the California Digital Library and campus partners, intended to ease the deposit of research and support participation in the University of California Open Access Policy.
Online Archive of California (OAC): A website providing free public access to collection guides, describing primary resource collections held by libraries, archives, and museums throughout California. 
Calisphere: A gateway to thousands of digitized primary sources from institutions throughout the state, aggregated and optimized for ease of discovery and use.
UC Libraries Digital Collection: A shared system for managing, aggregating, and providing access to unique digital content from the ten UC campus libraries, currently in the implementation phase.
