Collaboration with JSTOR
The Publishing Group collaborated with the digital scholarly archive JSTOR to train eScholarship’s automatic tagging system to place scholarly content appropriately within an academic disciplines taxonomy.
In October 2009, the Publishing Group released a redesigned eScholarship site, including a fresh look, powerful new display technologies, and vastly improved search capabilities.
eScholarship Outreach and Marketing Campaign
As part of the eScholarship relaunch, the Publishing Program embarked on a focused outreach and marketing campaign to effectively communicate the value and breadth of eScholarship Publishing Services to departments, research units, publishing programs, and individual scholars associated with the University of California.
Mark Twain Project Online
The Mark Twain Project Online (MTPO) was a groundbreaking digital critical edition of Mark Twain’s works that applied innovative, XTF-based search, display, and citation technology to more than four decades of archival research by expert editors at the Mark Twain Project, based at the University of California’s Bancroft Library.
