For more information on statistics, see (chapter 5, page 203) SFX General User’s Guide (password-protected).

Campus Reports

CDL runs seven reports (SFX queries) each week for each campus and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. These weekly files are posted on the UC-eLinks website: Usage Statistics, By Campus. Campus reports are password protected.

How do you know which report it is?

You will see the report (query) number in the file name, for example, lbl_query_7_20110714_25989.xls

The seven reports are:

Query 1. Number of SFX requests and clickthroughs per date. The number of times users clicked the SFX button in all sources over a specified period of time and the number of clickthroughs.

Query 2. Number of SFX requests and clickthroughs per source. The number of times users clicked the SFX button in any particular source (rec$sourceId) and the number of clickthroughs; output is sorted by source name.

Query 4. Number of SFX requests and clickthroughs per service type. The number of SFX requests and clickthroughs for each service type.

Query 7. Number of clickthroughs per target. The number of times specific targets were selected in the SFX menu.

Query 10. Most popular serials selected by target. The number of times the most frequently requested full-text journals were shown and selected in the SFX menu from one particular target.

Query 11. Most popular journals selected by source. The number of times the most frequently requested full-text journals were shown and selected in the SFX menu from a particular source.

Query 12. Journals requested but have no full-text. The top journals for which SFX requests resulted in no full-text services in the SFX menu.

UC-Wide Reports

CDL runs four reports (SFX queries) each week to get total usage across CDL and the campuses. These weekly files are posted on the UC-eLinks website: Usage Statistics, UC-wide.

  • By Source is Query 2
  • By Target is Query 7
  • By Service is Query 4
