OAI-PMH Data Service

Metadata records for EAD collection guides and METS digital objects are available for sharing with other aggregators, through our Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) data provider service. If you'd like us to create a customized set for your institution, please contact us at oacops@cdlib.org.

About Our Implementation

• Version: our service follows the OAI-PMH 2.0 specifications
• Identifiers: the item-level identifers use the Archival Resource Key (ARK) naming scheme
• Metadata formats: the only supported metadata schema is oai_dc.
• Flow control: the ListRecords and ListIdentifiers verbs default to return a maximum of 20 records at a time. Resumption tokens are supported.
