UC Shared Images
DSC provides oversight and guidance to UC Shared Images, a collaborative, cross-campus program for building an aggregated image collection for classroom instruction. UC Shared Images enables campuses to leverage resources, become more efficient, and provide better access to the images faculty and students need most. Learn more.
The two primary access points for UC Shared Images are ARTstor and the DSC Image Service page.
ARTstor contains UC campus built collections, as well as several licensed resources including Saskia Art & Architecture, Hartill Archive, Archivision, and the ARTstor core collection. Together they amount to more than 1.75 million images for the humanities and social sciences. Access to these collections is available to members of the UC community only.
Access an additional nineteen collections comprising over 30,100 images hosted in LUNA Insight and LUNA Commons, as listed on our
UC Shared Images: LUNA Imaging Collections page. The collections include historical posters, maps, rare books, illustrations, fashion plates, political cartoons and more.
