Shared Cataloging Program (SCP) Monthly Update: December 2014

scp2The UCSD campus will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 through Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015. SCP operations will cease entirely during this time period. The last file of SCP records for the year will be posted on Dec. 22. The first file of records for 2015 will be posted on Jan. 5.

ProQuest has made available a new set of records for EEBO. They have done some clean-up to previously released records, correcting typos and adding access points. Additionally, they have added about 4,400 new titles. We will be working the SCP Advisory Committee on distributing these updated records to the campuses as soon as possible.

Our major monograph distributions for last month included titles for Springer (877 titles), IEEE (198 titles), YBP/Ebrary DDA (154 titles), Elsevier (142 titles), Apabi (119 titles), and CRC Press (67 titles). For serials, our only major distribution was for Open Access resources (353 titles).

For our DDAs, there are now 3,182 titles available from YBP/Ebrary, 1,844 titles available for the EBSCO Japanese DDA, and 1,077 titles from the Airiti DDA. As of this date, we have recorded 71 purchases from YBP/Ebrary, eleven from the EBSCO Japanese, and four from Airiti.

Until next month …
