Shared Cataloging Program (SCP) Monthly Update: March 2015

scp2I’m very pleased to share the news that Becky Culbertson has been named a recipient of the annual Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship Award. The ALA press release highlights many of her contributions to the field, the benefits of which are well known to us working at SCP and by catalogers across the UC system. It is pleasing to see her dedication and hard work recognized in such a fashion, congratulations Becky.

On to more mundane matters, the major monograph distributions were for Elsevier (860 titles), IEEE (221 titles), CalDocs (104 titles), Wiley (103 titles), Airiti (99 titles), Royal Society of Chemistry (89 titles), Apabi (64 titles), and Springer (62 titles). For serials our major distributions were for Open Access (491 titles), Superstar (188 titles), and JSTOR (88 titles).

There are now 3,141 DDA titles available from YBP/Ebrary, 1,844 titles available for the EBSCO Japanese DDA, and 1,237 titles from the Airiti DDA. As of this date, we have recorded 249 purchases from YBP/Ebrary, eleven from the EBSCO Japanese, and four from Airiti.
