Jing Jiang joins D2D

CDL welcomes Jing Jiang, the newest application developer on the Discovery & Delivery (D2D) team. She comes to us by way of IT Infrastructure Services at the UC Davis library, where she was a member of the technical team supporting the UNIX/Oracle based Aleph ILS.  Her work included analysis and workflow development for metadata sharing projects with OCLC, California Digital Library, HathiTrust, WEST and the Internet Archive. Her outstanding work on the Google Books Project earned her the UC Davis Staff Assembly Citation of Excellence in 2013-2014.

Her educational background is a dream combination for the work we do at CDL: she has earned both a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Technology (Tsinghua University, Beijing, China) and a Master of Library and Information Studies (University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada).  She has a terrific combination of solid expertise in application and API development, combined with hands-on knowledge of library standards and workflows in academic libraries.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and gardening.  Welcome, Jing!
