It’s alive! Calisphere BETA soft launch

The UC Libraries Digital Collection (UCLDC) project team is pleased to announce the soft launch of Calisphere BETA. The beta site is the public interface to all collections that have been aggregated through the UCLDC platform, and represents the successful implementation of that platform over the past two years. When Calisphere BETA is released to the public, it will aggregate about 70% more content than the current Calisphere site, due to its underlying harvest infrastructure. It will also provide access to new collections from the UC Libraries that have not previously been accessible online.

The soft launch gives the UC Libraries a chance to preview and test the new site before it is released to end-users in late August or early September. We’d welcome feedback on all aspects of the Calisphere BETA site from all UC Libraries staff.
