Society for Automotive Engineers resources requires updated browser

saeThe SAE Digital Library will be upgrading its system to comply with Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 standards starting on January 31, 2016.  Users must update their browser settings to enable TLS 1.2 or download a TLS 1.2-compatible browser in order to maintain access to the SAE Digital Library content.

  • Users that access the Digital Library from a device managed by their organization should forward this information to their system or IT administrator.
  • Users that access the Digital Library on their personal computer should follow the instructions in the SAE Digital Library Security Upgrade Center (http://go2.sae.org/Q0VG01C0Rr2Pv0B0c00X3f0) or upgrade their browser to the latest version.

By upgrading the SAE Digital Library to comply with TLS 1.2, SAE Digital Library subscribers benefit from:

  • Increased cybersecurity
  • Improved protection of identity and credit card data
  • Streamlined Web functionality
  • Mobile device-responsive design and display accuracy
