New Tier 2 Licensed Resource – TRIP Pro

TRIP Pro is a clinical search engine designed to allow users to quickly and easily find and use high-quality research evidence to support their practice and/or care.

Five campuses (Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Riverside, and San Diego) are participating in the TRIP Pro Tier 2 license. TRIP can be accessed via http://uclibs.org/PID/282923.

TRIP (Turning Research Into Practice) has been online since 1997 and allows clinicians to search across various content types including primary and secondary research information, evidence-based synopses, Clinical Q&A, systematic reviews, U.S. and international guidelines, regulatory guidance, electronic textbooks, clinical calculators, medical images and videos, patient information leaflets, patient decision aids, controlled and ongoing clinical trials, blogs, and PubMed/Medline supplemented with UC-eLinks.

Search results may be viewed by type of evidence or by clinical subject area.

Clinical topics may also be searched using the PICO format, e.g. Patient/population-Problem, Intervention, Comparison intervention, Outcome.

Results may be sent via email, and exported as .CSV or .RIS formats. Searches may be saved with new results emailed each month.

In order to take advantage of various customization options, users can create free personal profiles.
