Shared Cataloging Program (SCP) Monthly Update: July 2017
SCP regularly posts monthly distribution statistics report. This monthly report shows titles added and/or removed from CDL licensed and selected open access collections. Here are the highlights of our major record distributions in June 2017. Our major serial record distributions include Open Access journals (306 titles which include: DOAJ 240 titles and Hindawi 23 titles). For monographs, there was one new collection added: CRC Press. CRCnetBASE online monographs (83 titles). This new collection is for the STMnetbase Upgrade. For titles published from 2017 onwards we will no longer identify CRC monographs by individual 793 collection (except for those in ChemNetBase). The 793 collection titles for past CRC Press monographs will remain in place.
Other major record distributions were: ACM Digital Library online conference proceedings (184 titles), ICPSR online datasets (71 titles), IEEE Xplore online conference proceedings (116 titles), JSTOR online monographs (103 titles, which include: CDL DDA pilot, 79 titles), Knovel Library online monographs (61 titles), Open Access monographs (5210 titles which include: DOAB online monographs 3149 titles, Knowledge Unlatched online monographs 127 titles, OAPEN online monographs 1919 titles), SpringerLink monographs (1671 titles which include: Behavioral science and psychology 224 titles, Business and management 372 titles, Computer science 70 titles, Economics and finance 405 titles, and Education 482 titles), Wiley online monographs (60 titles), Apabi online monographs. Ebooks (568 titles), and CNP eReading CDL DDA online monographs (978 titles).
Donal O’Sullivan was able to finish the bulk part of the Open Access E-book Cataloging Project and added 5210 titles in June including titles from two large packages: DOAB and OAPEN; see details above.
For DDA programs with number changed as of today: CNP eReading CDL DDA online monographs (2030 discovery records), JSTOR CDL DDA pilot (951 discovery records + 62 purchased titles), and EBSCO Japanese DDA (2,655 discovery records + 198 purchased titles). For DDA programs with no change from last month: Airiti DDA (1,890 discovery records + 336 purchased titles) and CRC Press ENGnetBASE online monographs 925 discovery records (DDA 2014 package (292 titles), 2015 package (352 titles), 2016 package (281 titles)) + 168 purchased titles (2013 (104 titles) & 2014 (64 titles)).
